Portable Ventilation Duct Length and Coupling Guide
Plan portable ventilation duct length, coupling positions, suspension and transport requirements for temporary industrial airflow projects.

Plan the deployed length
Portable ventilation ducting is often selected for transport and fast setup, but its deployed length affects resistance, handling and support. Measure the actual route, include practical allowance for connections and avoid treating a fully compressed roll as the working airflow length.
Place couplings where they can be inspected
Couplings should be accessible, supported and selected for the air direction and fan pressure. Too many joints can add leakage and resistance, while a very long unsupported section can sag or rub against sharp surfaces. Plan the route before ordering standard lengths.
Specify the project conditions
Provide fan size, air-supply or extraction duty, deployed length, diameter, number of branches, suspension method, temperature and site environment. A portable duct supplier can then advise on practical lengths, couplings and fabric construction for the temporary ventilation project.
