When Should You Use an Anti-Static Duct Hose?
Identify processes where static charge, dry particles and sensitive electronics require a dissipative hose system.

Processes that can generate charge
Dry powder, granules and fast-moving air can create electrostatic charge through friction. Electronics, semiconductor and precision-production environments may also set strict limits on static discharge.
The hose is only one part of the system
An anti-static material must be paired with correct grounding, conductive connections and documented inspection. A dissipative hose cannot protect a system if charge has no reliable path to ground.
Ask for measurable requirements
Specify the target resistance range, test method, conveyed medium and regulatory requirements. Avoid relying only on a color or an unsupported anti-static label.
