Silicone Fiberglass Duct for Hot Air: What to Check Before Ordering
Specify silicone fiberglass flexible ducting for hot-air equipment with temperature, pressure, movement and connection details.

Coated fiberglass is a construction system
Silicone fiberglass ducting combines a temperature-appropriate fabric reinforcement, coating and spiral or clip construction. Its suitability depends on the actual hot-air duty, not only the material name. Record continuous temperature, peak duration, pressure, movement, external heat and any contaminant in the air stream.
Check routing and end interfaces
Hot-air ducts near dryers, ovens and heaters often have limited clearance and frequent thermal cycling. Measure inside diameter, working length, bend radius, support requirement and both end connections. A suitable duct body can still fail early if the cuff is crushed, the bend is too tight or a clamp is inaccessible.
Confirm before promising a rating
Temperature, flame, chemical and certification requirements must be confirmed for the exact construction and market. An industrial duct supplier can review a selection brief and sample requirement, but equipment-level validation should be planned before full project installation.
