Abrasion comes from the material and route

PU duct hose is often selected for abrasive dust, chips, powder and granules, but wall thickness alone does not determine service life. Particle hardness, size, velocity, loading, bends, impact points and rubbing against supports all influence wear.

Wall and spiral must suit suction duty

For vacuum applications, the hose also needs sufficient structural support to avoid collapse. Diameter, negative pressure, unsupported span and bend radius should be supplied with the material description. Selecting only the thickest wall can make handling difficult without solving the system issue.

Describe static and market requirements accurately

For dry material transfer, ask the responsible process designer about grounding, conductive or anti-static requirements. Do not treat a colour, a wire spiral or a marketing phrase as proof of compliance. Submit the intended medium, temperature and required test information with the enquiry.
