Custom Flexible Duct Sample Approval Checklist

Define what the sample must prove

A custom flexible duct sample should answer clear questions such as fit, connection geometry, working length, bend clearance, visual construction, handling or packaging. List the dimensions and inspection points before sampling so the review is not based only on a general impression or a product photograph.

Check the installed interface

Trial-fit the sample at the actual equipment connection when possible. Review inside diameter, cuff or flange fit, clamp access, bending path, movement and clearance from hot or sharp surfaces. Record any change to material, reinforcement, end treatment or length before repeat production.

Keep approvals traceable

Maintain the approved drawing, sample photos, measurement notes, construction description, packaging and agreed labels as the repeat-order reference. A sample is not a substitute for all system, safety or certification validation, so retain any remaining test or compliance item separately.
