Flexible Duct for Plastic Dryer and Hopper Dryer Air Systems

Map the dryer air path

Plastic dryer systems may use flexible ducting between a heater, blower, hopper, drying bin or exhaust point. Identify whether the duct carries clean hot air, return air or process exhaust, then record normal and peak temperature, pressure direction, diameter and movement at each connection.

Plan for heat and repeated handling

The connection near a dryer can see thermal cycling, vibration and limited maintenance access. Select the duct construction and length so it can flex without a sharp bend, stay clear of hot surfaces and allow clamps or flanges to be inspected. An insulated construction may change outside diameter and routing needs.

Information for a custom quotation

Send equipment photos, connection measurements, temperature, airflow or fan information, length, bend allowance, end detail and order quantity. This enables a supplier to distinguish an equipment connector from ordinary portable ventilation ducting.
